Also, let's not forget Woodward was at the height of cruising while John was growing up. The comments for the Dream Cruise reminisce about cruising Woodward from 10 mile to Square Lake, and mentions places such as the Totem Pole (restaurant at 10 & Woodward) and Ted's drive in (another restaurant) which would have been around Square Lake and Woodward.

All of the kids except Jill was left West of where they were abducted. I still think Jill was intentional for the city of Troy and I'm certain there were clues there but can't tell you exactly what they were. By the time Kris was taken Danto was involved, so the drop offs went to BL (Bruce Lane) - thought to be clues at the time.

If I have my act together now, Federal sat on the NW corner of 9 mile and Woodward, where The Old Navy sits today.

Sure I can do that. Give me a day or so. Most of them I roughly guessed already at on that spreadsheet I did last year. All the locations are within about 5 miles, most within even 3 miles of Johns, except of course for Livonia. but even that, you said you could tie to a friend of Johns. Living where he did, he would absolutely be familiar with those areas. Those are our local hospitals (right near Jill's hobby shop), drugstores, etc THey are all well populated areas. Even the dead end road where he dumped Kristine. Even though it was kind of secluded, and obviously chosen for shrink Bruce....It was off a huge major well traveled road, that's a main road used by people who live where John lived. This was hometown big time. Kristine, Tim and Cynthia felt especailly scarily like they were in my backyard....my stomping ground.

Helen, Scratch what I said about copying them there. You can view them there. I think you can get a copy, but still pricey. and I'm not sure it was really give you a whole lot or not. I imagine it was just maybe 5 minutes. They probably just run a copy of our local news tape here. (Boy I'd love to get into the local news archives) Here's the link where I found them.

I don't know, I'm just still a little stunned at their response. I realize they can't chase in circles forever on one thing, but how can they for sure rule anyone out completely, unless they were present themselves? Until they begin to read all those tips that are unfiled, how can they even think they don't have the answer sitting in their own drawer? It's kind of sad that they are relying on citizens to present them with any new evidence, instead of pursuing it on their own. Since he allowed the media to look over the evidence that was in question in order to clear the other individual, would he also allow the media to look over the Hastings family thick file? Please don't say it's protected, if the other person's file was opened to help prove the police right.

When Gray said he actually talked to the investigators who "worked on him" (wow, they actually interviewed him), I assume he's only talking about 2, maybe 3 investigators. One would be most likely Jerry Tobias, who's no longer here to provide an opinion. If he was, I think he'd be at least willing and open to review his own work and try again. And Det Anger who's made the decision for everyone who is not the OCCK. If the head investigator back then, Robertson Sr, took the time to interview John, which I doubt, why would Robertson's son doubt any of that today?

You sure can't pound square pegs into round holes, but maybe the round hole (also known by another name) is the problem.

Helen, Okay, I found the Hobby Shop info, it was called"Models" Hobby Center and the address was 22524 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, MI., Looks like it was in business from 1948 until 1983 or 1984.

I searched through the news articles for Bloomfield Hills murders in the 1960's.

Didn't find a whole lot...

1) Ross G. Witthoeft of Bloomfield Hills, and a friend fro Birmingham (forget the name) were sentenced for stabbing a college student in a fight in Boston Mass. in April of 1977

2) In February of 1957 there was another "Phantom Sniper Case". This one was done by Gary Addison Taylor of Royal Oak. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the late 60's. The victim was a Bloomfield Hills resident by the name of Shirley Elan. I didn't find the Carl xxxxx you sure that is his real name? Linda

Can’t get on the site, it says “critical error”, not sure if it’s down, or if my laptop is messed up.
