The 1-6-10 FOIA request to the MSP was for "All records related to Christopher Brian Busch and Gregory Green." The 1-12-10 letter from the MSP estimates the processing fee at $11,525.49, calculated as follows: duplication costs of $2,070; mailing costs of $62.30; 5 CD's at $25; and estimated labor costs of $5,703.54, based on the hourly wage of the lowest paid MSP employees capable of retrieving, examining, reviewing, and separating exempt and nonexempt material 138 hours at $41.33/hour and 55 hours at $66.63/hour.
The records themselves contain transcripts of interviews of Larry Wasser (yes, the name "Larry" appears in the transcript, not redacted and it is clear they are interviewing the private polygraph examiner of Chris Busch), John Hastings, victims of Busch and Green and relatives of Chris Busch. A DVD is mentioned in relation to the polygraph exam of Hastings, but there is no way LE would provide a copy of that, or a transcript of the polygraph exam.
So, many of the tapes were transcribed as a matter of course, and were provided in the FOIA request in semi-redacted form. Of course, if there was anything truly helpful, I am sure it as withheld as "exempt."

Champaign, IL -I have not read these documents as closely as Keeper has but I can verify that John takes up a good quarter of the stack that is well over a foot high. And I can also verify that his story changes from his first interviews in the 90's to the most recent one from Georgia. After reading these docs there is no way John should be dismissed from scrutiny. No way.
I hope the recent news blitz that is squeezing LE instead of using them as their sole source brings about a more intense and focused investigation. Squeeze Gunnels, Busch's brother, John, John's siblings and find any of the former victims of Busch, Greene etc.

I also believe the case will never be "solved" and that this is due, not so much to degraded evidence and other logical excuses, but to politics and ass-covering. This adds outrage to one of the most heinous unsolved serial murders in the history of the country.
A good friend pointed out that if the pages released in the FOIA action, which were redacted, filtered and selective, imagine how much MORE content there is in discovery that involves current investigative subjects vs. dead ones.
Remember the person(s) who posted on Helen's site a time or two way back when, who alluded to men playing different parts in these crimes? That different monsters played different roles--abduction, rape, homicide, body disposal? This person stated that Kris' body was moved after initially being placed in a spot where she was not found. The person mentioned this involving more than one person.
I still say the MSP and Oakland County can and will withhold whatever they want so that they not only do not advance the investigation, but thwart it.
I will add some interesting info from the FOIA documents later. And remember, this is just the stuff they selectively released. Contrary to Michigan law, they did not provide a list of documents/DVDs/CDs that were withheld, along with an explanation of why they are considered exempt from production. I am sure many documents, like some of the evidence in this case, were destroyed years ago.(Like that second report on the LeMans, prepared in conjunction with the Detroit FBI office in 1977/78.)
