I turned down this Invitation -My Bucket list is just to full-If my health was better-I would help them out--However the Health Issues plus the waiting on the Grand Juries and the fact that so many of us have worked so many years on these cases...Well I just do not see how, this group could ever hope to get up to speed- I do wish them all the best -If after reading the letter I sent them-they may not want to go forward with The Oakland County Child Killer ,as their first case------------------(Ms Dagner:
I have recently come across the website freewebs.com/helendagner and wanted to contact you immediately. My name is Jaclyn Reid and I am a 4th year student attending the University of Western Ontario. Our school has put together an “Investigative Society” - a student-run investigative squad that provides analysis and consultation related to high profile cases that remain unsolved. We are interested in working alongside police agencies, the media and the public to solve cold cases.
Our approach is to draw on media archives as source data that we analyze to provide a fresh perspective on cases that have gone cold. Acting on information publicized at the time of the crimes, members work with original stakeholders to reconstruct past events and apply new media and investigative techniques to generate and follow new leads.
Prior to the formation of our society, many of our members have been very successful in making significant advancements in other cold cases. Work done by these students has lead to the discovery of the first person of interest in the Grim Sleeper case as well as major revelations in the Capital City Killer case.
We would love to work with you to share research and ideas in hopes to solve these cases. Our first case is The Oakland County Child Killer. If you could provide me with any original documents, stories or names of people to contact it would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to working with you on this case to give the community and families of the victims a sense of closure.
Thank you,
Jaclyn Reid
