HEADLINES (from last time): Ferguson said in "F language" that he would shut me down, contractor says AND: Global company's chairman testifies he had to pay mayor's friend Ferguson or lose millions That official is Avinash Rachmale, chairman of Lakeshore TolTest, who was born in a small farming village in India. Got a bachelor's degree in India. He got his U.S. citizenship right in this building, sixteen years ago. He remembers it was a Thursday. Rachmale came to the U.S. to attend school. Went to University of Detroit, then transferred to Wayne State, where he got his Master's. Lakeshore TolTest is a global company. Projects range from a few million to $250 million. He started the company in 1994 here in Detroit; he was the only employee. Now the company has 40 offices around the world. Rachmale is a civil engineer by trade, water engineer.
