Was at the scene of a 14 year old kid, Anthony Mitchell (like Busch, another son of a GM exec) falling off the Maple-Lahser water tower down the street from the Xxxxxxx home in Sept (?) 1966. Mitchell was a friend of John's younger brother, Xxxx. Both brothers ran home after the incident. Xxxxx went to the funeral that week, John did not attend. Could Anthony have possibly been pushed off the tower? This is impossible to ever prove but John and Xxxxxx were supposedly at the scene.

What if Busch was also at the water tower when Anthony Mitchell fell to his death? What if John pushed that kid and Busch knew and never said anything, just held it over John's head? What if the trade off was Mike? What if John did the killing because Busch was holding him psychologically hostage?

The anger John had with society could have started with Busch and what the rich boy/ son of a GM executive did to his brother. However, Xxxxxxxx evil probably started well before the ped ring Anthony Mitchell (little rich kid falls off the water tower) All TOO MUCH COINCIDENCE for John to live so close by to all the tragedies.

Helen.I still had Notes from when we worked on this,here are a couple.Anthony Mitchell "fell" off the water tower Sept 21, 1966. The water tower was at Maple and Lahser, behind the A & P store, at the Bloomfield Village Fire hall. He had a sister named Penny Mitchell. He went to East Hills Jr. High and lived on Martell Drive, near Covington Jr. High. His father was a VP at GM.~~HIS STEP FATHER DESIGN THE CORVET. Ken

A site reader from the dreambook site-has found the Info that..John told me Xxxx Xxxxx Xxxx--ANTHONY MITCHELL,son of WILLIAM MITCHELL,VICE PRESIDENT of General Motors...the boy went to Cranbrook untill he lost the use of his right hand in a shop accident--Apparently Mitchell left his home at approx-8pm..to meet friends...his family did not realize that he had never come home as there was a reading light on in his bedroom-14,year old Tony was found at the base of a water tower by Bloomfield twp. police...right where John said he left him---Royal Oak Tribune-Sept.21,1966

Helen,
I still think the four known kids where the only ones John murdered. If he murdered more, than his motive changes. He wanted to kill one kid per sibling, in order. Jill was for Xxxx, Mark was for Xxxx, Kristine was for Xxxxx and Tim was for Xxxx. Of course, he probably pushed Anthony Mitchell off the water tower,as well - too much of a coincidence, IMO.

My interest in this case is simple, I was 8 years old when this stuff happen, I went to Pattingale elementary at the same time Kristine did. A very close friend, has known John Qxxxxxx for years and suspected he was involved in the OCCK. John hung out with some strange people in the 70's that claimed to be psychic's and my friend suspected some of his friends from the "Devil House" were into satanic rituals. My friend has no concrete proof, but to this day believes John was the OCCK or was involved.
My friend had met Kristines mom as John's girlfriend just before her daughter turned up missing.
John Q. was at the water tower with Anthony Mitchell, this I know to be fact from my friend.
As I'm not interested in creating problems in anyones life, if my friend is mistaken about John being the OCCK, an innocent mans life could be ruined by this kind of stuff. It's been 30+ years and he's already been interviewed many times over.
I've never been a fan of psychologist, but the fact he's a child psychologist, could suggest this was all an experiment to see how the children would react under certain conditions. When the experiment stopped so did the killing. Or it could've been part of some satanic ritual. These are my own personal theories. But it's horrible what happen to those children, and since I lived in Berkley at the time and walked to that 7/11 and Harftfield lanes often alone, it could've been me that turned up dead. If your John or the one I'm writing about were involved, justice should be served.
Again, this is all hear say, but I'd be interested to find out if Kristines mom ever suspected John.

Helen,Are you sure that your John provided you with his REAL last name?
I know for a fact, from a close personal friend who has known John and Xxxx since childhood, they said John and his brother were at the Water Tower when Anthony fell off and died. Further, Johns father was best friends with William Mitchell,Vice President of General Motors. So how are we not talking about the same John, unless your John gave you a false name.
My John was a suspect and questioned by the police and came from a semi affluent family in Birmingham. He has an older brother who is very wealthy. John did complete college in 1973, so the fact you state he didn't go to college does not make sense to me either.

Yes! He was a student of East Hills Junior High School. That's still there, now called a middle school. That's regular Bloomfield Hills public school. His obit lists that memorial tributes can be made to Brookside School Cranbrook to establish a fund for the music dept in memory of Anthony. So, he must have gone to Cranbrook, only for the music program, not for regular school.
And please keep in mind, when everyone is talking about him being able to ride the "back roads"...they are talking about riding through all residential neighborhoods with smooth paved roads. There were also paved sidewalks almost the whole way to the water tower. It's not like dirt roads out in the country.
Was this written by a classmate? DId he see him picking on Xxx? What the heck else did he see??

Question - did the Mitchell family ever hear of Chris Busch? Both Anthony and Chris were from wealthy GM families. I don't think Busch was even in Michigan when Mitchell fell off the water tower in 1966. What a coincidence that John lived on the same street as the water tower and was at the scene when Anthony supposedly "fell"!

Thanks for the update. That's ok about the book. I'll find it and read it eventually.
I hope LE puts "the screws" to Xxxxx! Scare him so he sings like a bird! They should interview Xxx, as well. They both know what happened. I just hope LE will ask the right questions.
By the way, I enjoyed reading the Anthony Mitchell articles. Thanks for them. John may have been a psycho killer all along. The fact that he "pushed" Anthony Mitchell off the water tower doesn't destroy the OCCK motive, IMO.

I was a friend of Tony, I was getting a haircut the barber knew I was friends with him told me he jumped, I was upset but also 15 year old "man" tough guy....I told the barber there was no way he jumped. Think he was up there spray painting his and a girls name. Did anyone else see that??? I always figured he was standing on the railing and slipped.....Never heard about the other theory
He had a mako shark in his garage. He had other things in his safe I will not mention!
