I check my email every few days and have not checked this website in a while. This is my first chance to respond to the above allegations to you, and I will do so now openly and clearly.

I would ask that you consider the following chronology prior to seeking to question my character. On 12/01/05 I suffered a stroke and was partially paralyzed on my right side for many months, could not fully work, and was in physical therapy / rehab at the V.A.. I had been a prior member of the APA from 1991 to the late 1990's, but had not attended their seminars which were disproportionately on the east coast. While serving in the middle east, as I am NOW, I had let my membership lapse. In 2/06, while paralyzed and unemployed, I got a call from a member of the BOD of the APA who asked if I would be a guest speaker at the APA in their pending meeting in 7/06 in Las Vegas. I was asked based on pioneering work I had done in an entire new field for the polygraph community in the specific field of assisting the U.S. Immigration court with cases concerning Asylum, Marriage Fraud, and other areas that effected one's Immigration status. The theme of the APA that year was our profession's public perception, and they felt this work would reflect positively, and that others should be aware of it. It was my feeling at that time that if I were going to be a speaker at the APA, that in fact I should rejoin. In 3/06, WITH ONE FINGER OF MY WORKING LEFT ARM, I pecked out on a typewriter the application. In that clear condition, less than ninety days after my stroke,I failed to check a box on one of the questions, and provide an explanation to their satisfaction. I was granted my membership soon after; went onto Las Vegas in 7/06 in a more recovered walking state / condition; and in fact spoke on this topic in 7/07 and 7/08 as well. The disclosure which was made to me about the OCCK case occurred when in fact I was asked to come a few days early to Las Vegas in 7/06 at the request of the BOD, and brief them first about this new area of testing, and I did so. It was just after that power point presentation, as I was putting away my computer and the BOD took a break that in fact I was approached about this subject by the Examiner I otherwise did not know, and had never had a prior conversation with. We spoke briefly after he asked if I would consider coming to Michigan for their State polygraph organization, and how much would I charge them. Being that he was on the BOD, and that I wanted my profession to grow, I responded that I would do so free if they paid my plane and hotel for the event (as he handed me his business card). I wanted to let him know that I had lived in Michigan as a kid; and I added "You know, I'd be happy to do this for you because I lived in Michigan as a kid, and a good part of the reason I went into this profession was based on what happened to my neighbor boy (as I viewed his office city and address). I then added, maybe you have heard of the case, the Timmy King case ? His jaw dropped, and it was at this time that the disclosure was made to me. As things then progressed over the next year, I later came to Michigan the Monday before Thanksgiving 11/07 at my own expense to provide a sworn deposition to the Wayne County Prosecutor which I did under Oath. To date, I have spent no less than $5,000.00 of my own money in travel, lawyers, etc. in both forwarding justice for my childhood friend and the other victims (My Family knew 2 of 4)-
